B&B Tool Company is a precision machine shop located in Rockford, IL. We operate from an 18,000 sq ft air-conditioned facility, and we provide CNC and traditional machining and grinding services to a variety of industries.
The Founders
Dallas Beaver and Howard Bowgren founded B&B Tool Company in 1968, over 50 years ago. With a motive to provide the best services in the industry, the company continues its legacy in providing precision and CNC machining services.
History
Dallas Beaver and Howard Bowgren started with a handful of machinery, and a strong desire to succeed.
The machine shop had two Bridgeport mills, a belt-drive lathe, belt-drive surface grinder, and one drill press. With a handful of machinery, and skills acquired from recently completed apprenticeships they began to to build their customer base.
Climate-controlled Facility
The growing company moved in 1971, again in 1973, and most recently in 1993. The multiple moves have taken B&B from a small two-person operation to our current 18,000 sq ft climate-controlled facility. We have nineteen CNC machines and nearly thirty machine tools in all.
Meeting Customers' Needs
While initially serving the stamping industry with die repair services, we have since grown away from this work. Today, we provide CNC and traditional machining and grinding services.
We also provide specialized tooling, assemblies, and fixtures to meet our customers' specifications and growing needs.
